Resume of Clare Barr

Clare Barr was trained in property making at Rada and graduated with distinction in 2003. Previous to that she toured extensively with many fringe theatre companies throughout Europe as a creative director and prop maker.
She was introduced to blacklight thetre while in the Czech Republic and set up het own children s theatre company that specialised in ultra violet effects in 1998 which performed in schools and toured the English summer festival circuit for a number of years.

Now based in Brighton she works freelance as a prop maker and runs 'Madthings' - a prop and puppet making company. Her specialities include polystyrene carving, mould making and latexing and her favourites are fake food and really really big things!!

I really enjoy my work ' she says 'and i take a lot of pride in it but it is really important to me that the client is as happy with it as I am so i always try to accommodate even the most awkward requests!'
